By accessing or using Runar ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Service Description

Runar is an AI-powered wellness companion that allows you to log meals, exercise, sleep, and other health-related activities using natural language. The Service uses artificial intelligence to parse your messages, track nutritional data, and provide personalized wellness insights. Runar is available on iOS, Android, and web platforms.

3. User Accounts

To use Runar, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported third-party authentication provider (Google or Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose of personal wellness tracking. You may not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service beyond normal usage
• Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content, is the intellectual property of Runar and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data you submit to the Service, but you grant Runar a limited license to process and store your data as necessary to provide the Service.

6. Disclaimer — Not Medical Advice

Runar is a wellness tracking tool and is not medical advice. The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The nutritional information, calorie estimates, and wellness insights provided by the AI are approximate and should not be relied upon for medical decisions. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise routine, or health regimen. Runar does not claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Runar calculates personalized calorie and macronutrient targets using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula to estimate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). These calculated targets are estimates based on the biometric information you provide (biological sex, age, height, weight, activity level, and goal) and are not a substitute for professional dietary or medical guidance. Individual caloric needs vary based on factors not captured by any formula. Always consult a qualified healthcare or nutrition professional before making significant dietary changes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Runar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, but we will delete your personal wellness data upon request.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Runar operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
